Privacy policy

Gitimtim operates the online store at gitimtim.com and the related products, services, content, features and customer-support channels described in this Privacy Policy (the “Services”). This policy explains how Gitimtim collects, uses, shares and retains personal information when you visit or use the Services, make a purchase, request support, subscribe to communications or otherwise interact with us.
Shopify hosts our store and provides the commerce platform we use. Shopify also processes personal information when you interact with or purchase from the store. Gitimtim and Shopify may have separate responsibilities for particular processing activities, as described below and in Shopify’s privacy materials.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with the Services, we may collect or process:
- Contact and account information, such as your name, email address, phone number, billing or shipping address, account preferences and customer-support details.
- Order and transaction information, such as products viewed or purchased, cart activity, order status, fulfillment or digital-delivery status, returns or cancellations, and transaction totals. Payment information is handled by Shopify and payment providers.
- Information you submit, such as messages, reviews, form responses, personalization instructions, text, images or other materials you choose to provide for a requested service.
- Device, browser and usage information, such as IP address, browser or device type, identifiers, cookie or similar-technology information, pages viewed, links selected, cart and checkout interactions, referring source, and timestamps.
- Communication and privacy preferences, such as marketing consent, unsubscribe or suppression status, and choices made through available privacy controls.
- Information from service providers and partners when they support store operations, analytics, communications, fraud prevention, fulfillment, delivery or other Services.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information as reasonably necessary to:
- operate the storefront and provide the products or services you request;
- process payments, orders, fulfillment, digital delivery, returns, cancellations and customer support;
- maintain accounts, remember preferences and send service or order information;
- protect the Services, prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems and enforce applicable terms;
- understand storefront use and measure website and ecommerce performance;
- send promotional communications when permitted and honor unsubscribe or suppression choices;
- personalize or improve the Services where permitted and consistent with available privacy choices; and
- meet legal obligations, respond to valid legal process and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
3. Shopify and Network Intelligence
Shopify hosts and supports core parts of the Services. Information you provide through the storefront is transmitted to and processed by Shopify and relevant service providers so the store can function, orders can be completed and the Services can be supported and improved.
We use Shopify Network Intelligence. Network Intelligence allows Shopify to use information about interactions with Gitimtim, Shopify and other participating merchants to provide Enhanced Services. Depending on the service and your choices, Enhanced Services may include personalization, performance measurement or advertising-related features. Other merchants do not receive access to Gitimtim customer data through Network Intelligence.
Supported privacy choices, opt-outs, deletion requests and Global Privacy Control signals may affect applicable Network Intelligence uses. Shopify and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
For more information, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You may also use the Shopify Privacy Portal for choices and requests handled by Shopify.
4. Cookies and Privacy Choices
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies. Necessary technologies support security, account access, cart operation, checkout, payment and order delivery. Analytics technologies help us understand website use and performance. Marketing or advertising technologies may support measurement, personalization or relevant communications where applicable.
Our storefront uses a conservative privacy-choice approach. Necessary commerce remains available. Where the storefront exposes privacy controls, you can accept, reject or manage optional analytics and marketing categories and later change your preferences. Where a privacy choice applies to a technology, that choice determines whether the applicable optional use is permitted.
For visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, optional categories are presented on an opt-in basis. In the United States, supported data-sharing or targeted-advertising opt-outs and Global Privacy Control signals are handled where applicable. Other active markets receive the store’s global conservative privacy-choice approach.
Withdrawing a choice does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal. Shopify may also provide a data-sharing opt-out page or privacy portal. Global Privacy Control may be treated as an opt-out request for the browser or device and, where Shopify can associate the device with a Shopify account, for that account.
5. Analytics and Measurement
We use Google Analytics to understand website and ecommerce activity. Analytics information may include device or browser information, identifiers, IP-derived information, timestamps, referring source, pages or products viewed, and commerce-event details such as quantity, value and currency. Analytics information may be linked to identifiers and is not necessarily anonymous.
Google Tag Manager may be used to deliver measurement tags. Privacy choices apply to analytics and other optional measurement as configured through the store’s privacy controls.
6. Meta Measurement
We use browser-based Meta Pixel measurement to understand storefront interactions, such as page or product views and commerce activity. This may involve browser or device identifiers and event information.
7. Klaviyo Communications
We use Klaviyo to support customer communications and related commerce-event processing. Transactional messages, such as order or service information, are distinct from promotional messages. We may send promotional email when permitted, and you can unsubscribe using the link in a promotional email. We may retain suppression information so that an unsubscribe choice continues to be honored. Unsubscribing from promotional email does not prevent necessary non-promotional messages about an account, order, delivery or support request.
8. How We Share Information
We may share personal information with service providers and other parties that help us operate the Services, including Shopify, payment providers, fraud-prevention and security providers, hosting and technology providers, analytics providers, communication providers, fulfillment and shipping providers, digital-delivery providers, customer-support tools and active measurement providers.
We may also share information:
- when you direct us to do so or consent to a particular disclosure;
- to comply with applicable law or valid legal process;
- to protect the Services, Gitimtim, customers or others;
- to enforce applicable terms or address fraud, security or technical issues; or
- in connection with a proposed or completed business transaction, subject to appropriate handling of the information.
Service providers may have different legal roles depending on the service and processing activity.
9. International Processing
Gitimtim and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy and data-protection laws may differ between countries. Providers may rely on applicable safeguards or legal transfer mechanisms for their processing. Gitimtim relies on vendor standard terms and supported transfer mechanisms where applicable.
10. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide the Services, maintain necessary business and transaction records, honor choices, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, protect security and enforce agreements.
Current operating targets include:
- Google Analytics event-data retention of 14 months;
- privacy preference records for 24 months after the last preference or withdrawal;
- promotional profile information for 24 months after meaningful engagement, subject to unsubscribe and suppression controls; and
- an annual review of retention practices.
Transaction and accounting records may be retained as needed for business, tax, accounting, refund, fraud, security and dispute purposes. Actual retention periods may vary by purpose and legal obligation. Aggregated or non-identifiable information may be retained longer where appropriate. Backup or provider systems may require additional time to complete deletion.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of or a portable copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain data sharing or targeted-advertising uses.
You can make a request by contacting support@gitimtim.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may make a request where applicable, subject to reasonable verification. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
You may use available storefront privacy controls to manage cookie or similar-technology choices. You may use the unsubscribe link in promotional emails to stop those emails. Shopify-related requests may also be available through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may have a right to appeal or complain to an applicable privacy or data-protection authority, depending on where you live.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and operational measures appropriate to the Services and the information involved. No security measure, storage system or transmission method is completely secure. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card information or other highly sensitive information through ordinary email or other unsecured channels.
13. Children
The Services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through the Services. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@gitimtim.com so that we can review the request and take appropriate action.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, Services or legal obligations. We will post the revised policy on this page, update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice where required.
15. Contact
